Health and Wellness
Doulas Offer a Little 'Extra'
Doulas, or women who provide non-medical support to women and their families during labor, delivery and the postpartum period, are becoming an important part of the birthing process in Cook County.
Alternative Medicine “Complements” Cook County
With two chiropractors, two acupuncturists, and a variety of body work, energy work, herbal and lifestyle therapists, Cook County is a veritable hotbed for alternative, or complementary, medicine practitioners. Rhythms of Darkness and Light
The Spring Theme Exhibit opens March 23, the third annual art collaboration between the Grand Marais Art Colony and Spirit of the Wilderness Episcopal Church. This year’s show is “Rhythms of Darkness and Light.” Artists were invited to consider how the dark nights of winter nourished their souls, what creative den they retreat into, and what light and life awakens in them as spring begins to beckon.
