At the top of the list is the Art Colony’s Plein Air Festival, WTIP’s Radio Waves Music Festival, North House Folk School’s Unplugged and the Crossing Borders Tour & Sale, but there are lots of other events happening this month, too.

Michael Johnson Headlines Radio Waves

Lake Superior will be bluer than blue when famed singer Michael Johnson takes the stage during the third annual Radio Waves Music Festival scheduled for Friday and Saturday, Sept. 10-11, at Sweetheart’s Bluff adjacent to the Grand Marais Recreation Park and Campground. It will be a non-stop line-up of musicians and bands on two stages, plus on-site food vendors, a dance floor and a children’s tent.

The 15th annual North Shore Health Care Golf Tournament is Sunday, Oct. 3 at the Superior National Golf Course in Lutsen. The tourney is a fundraiser for the foundation, which supports health care efforts throughout the county.
